Description:

The project studies the technical feasibility and the economic and environmental performance of a catenary-free city tram-train or tramway operating with energy supplied by on-board double-layer capacitors charged at stations.
The project is divided into 2 phases: study and bench demonstrator.
The project is partly funded by the French PREDIT programme.
