The project is carried out in collaboration with KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) where a program is developed to make advanced calculations on the energy need and running time for trains based on different driving circumstances such as speed, weather, using of different brakes and so on.
The structure of the program is ready, specific modules shall now be implemented in order to make the program ready for use. Amongst other things it will take a lot of measurements on trains to get data for the program. Recently modules for X2-trains with regenerating brakes have been made.
